Panel Categories

Panels are presented in groups that belong to fiunctional categories. The list below presents the panel categories and includes a pointer to a list of standard panels belonging to the associated category. In addition to being available as a stock panel, most panels can be tailored by adding or deleting circuit breaker rows and by customising circuit breaker values and labels

The panels presented under each category are typical for different classes of vessel.


Category Short Description
AC Circuit Breaker Panel Generic AC circuit breaker panel using circuit breakers in the 5 to 50 ampere range.
AC House Electrical Panel Used to power all AC house loads, this panel is often located out of the way. On boarding the vessel, house functions are set and remain in that condition for the stay on board.
AC Source Select Panel Panels typically have a rotary switch to select the AC power source and may have optional volt and ammeters.
DC Battery Management Panel Panels that control battery source selection, isolation and cross charging.
DC Circuit Breaker Panel Generic DC circuit breaker panel using circuit breakers in the 5 to 300 ampere range.
DC Helm Panel Panel located at the helm fitted with waterproof rocker switches.
DC House Electrical Panel Used to power all DC house loads, this panel is often located out of the way. On boarding the vessel, house functions are set and remain in that condition for the stay on board.
DC Navigation Station Panel Usually found at the navigation station on sailing yachts, this panel provides easy access to "drive the boat" functions including nav lights, electronics and radio power.
